About us:
WillCo Wells B.V. has its origins in the operations of BioSoft International B.V., the second subsidiary of WillCo Beheer B.V. All these businesses are registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Design:
WillCo Wells B.V. originally started out producing small dishes (50 x 9 mm) based on an existing design which it had modified. Since then the company has worked with professionals in fertility and tissue culture laboratories to design a range of glass bottom dishes. The glass at the bottom of the dishes is 0.17 mm thick, making it possible to work with 0.17 corrected lenses, thus at a very small working distance (WD).

Production: 
Moulds of the company’s own design, which are accurate to within 0.01 mm, are used to produce the dishes. The glass bottom should always be flush with the microscope table, and the dish’s design reflects the value we attach to this. The major advantage of this is that the microscope light passes straight through the glass bottom and no air can penetrate between the table and the glass, which could seriously disrupt efforts to regulate the temperature of the cells in the dish.

Production occurs in a Class 10,000 clean room, certified under EN 46001, EN 46002, ISO 9001 and ISO 9002. All dishes are gamma irradiated (EN 552).

R&D:
In the years ahead the WillCo-dish™ range of products will be extended to include dishes of different types (slides), some with bio-coating or screens and others with a variation in the thickness and type of glass.

Sales:
WillCo Wells B.V. only supplies WillCo-dish™ glass-bottom dishes to its (exclusive) distributors, one of which is BioSoft International B.V. The four major microscope manufacturers, Carl Zeiss, Leica, Nikon and Olympus, are familiar with our WillCo-dish™ products. They use our products when demonstrating their inversion microscopes and often supply our glass-bottom dishes as well
