The "Series DEV-5040" ASSEMBLY DEVICE ("DEV") we developed over ten years ago, to ensure "EASY, QUICK, ACCURATE & SAFE" assembly of the WillCo-dish®KIT dishes.

The ASSEMBLY DEVICE consists of two aluminum parts, one in and blue one in red.

The blue part :  To centre the Double Sided Adhesive ("DSA") ring and bond it to the bottom of the dish.
The red part :  To centre the coverslip and bond it to the DSA ring, already bonded to the bottom of the dish.



It takes approximately one minute, to assemble your own WillCo-dish® Glass Bottom dish or ANY OTHER TYPE of MATERIAL than glass for a bottom. You may even want the THICKNESS of YOUR OWN CHOICE and have a fine (glass /plastic) bottom dish, the bottom flush with the warming-stage and the temperature inside the dish evenly divided over the bottom, inside the dish.


There are four types:

DEV-3512    (For "Series-....":   GWSt-3512, HBSt-3512, GWSB-3512 and HBSB-3512).
DEV-3522    (For "Series-....":   GWSt-3522, HBSt-3522, GWSB-3522 and HBSB-3522).
DEV-5030    (For "Series-....":   GWSt-5030, HBSt-5030, GWSB-5030 and HBSB-5030).
DEV-5040    (For "Series-....":   GWSt-5040, HBSt-5040, GWSB-5040 and HBSB-5040).


The size of the "Series DEV-5040", when both parts are nicely put on top of each other, is 60 x 20 mm. (For all
50 mm. dishes).


Standard thickness of the glass coverslip, is 170 micron, Class # 1.5 in Borosilicate (German Glass). Once bonded to the bottom of the dish, it is not possible to remove the coverslip bottom; it is permanent.
